Hello Parents and Students and Congratulations on a Great first week back to school!!! Within this week the students were welcomed back to Spanish class with a review of the topics we were working on before the break. Speaking of before the break...On November 21, the Friday before Thanksgiving break, the 6th grade team assigned the "Roll of Thunder, Hear my Cry" collective project. The final draft of this project was not due until this past Monday, January 5th. I was pleasantly surprised to see all of the wonderful houses that were brought in but I was also rather concerned with the number of students who neglected to complete the Spanish portion of their project. They were supposed to add 5 rooms to the house that they were required to build for Ms. Bynoe. Each room was to include 10 objects and be labeled in Spanish. This project was weighted as a test grade and as a result really has an effect on the student’s grade good or bad. I would like to offer the students a way to increase their scores. I will be giving a quiz on Monday…20 Questions, multiple choice on the topic of Household objects. If the students make an 85 or better I will give them 30 extra points that they can add towards any of the 3 projects that we have completed…1) Body Parts Poster, 2) The Turkey Project and 3) The House Project. Below you will find the study guide for the quiz. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns at bentleyteach@yahoo.com
